Why DO we still love Jane Austen? JoAnne M. Podis, Emerita Professor of English, Ursuline College, has had a long career in higher education and is the co-author of three textbooks on writing. JoAnne's particular interest is in Jane Austen's novels and uncovering the reasons behind this 200-year-old fascination. She will focus on the values and themes that permeate Austen's books and adapted movies and continue to resonate today.
