FORUM: Jim Tully: American Writer, Irish Rover, Hollywood Brawler, featuring Paul Bauer and Mark Dawidziak

Join us on Thursday, May 23, for a special program featuring Paul Bauer, used and rare book dealer (Archer’s Books of Kent), and Mark Dawidziak, author/editor of 25 books, as they regale us with stories of Jim Tully, the subject of their co-authored book. The definitive biography of a remarkable writer, Jim Tully: American Writer, Irish Rover, Hollywood Brawler compellingly describes the hardscrabble life of an Irish American storyteller, from his immigrant roots, rural upbringing, and life as a hobo riding the rails to the emergent dream factory of early and Golden Age Hollywood and the fall of his fortunes during the Great Depression. Many saw the dark side of the American dream, but none wrote about it like Jim Tully.

This Forum is sure to be one for the books, so please join us at 7:00 PM at Loganberry Books. If you prefer, you may participate via Zoom:
